I had an amazing client session yesterday. My client felt like a little baby bird who is standing on the edge of a huge cliff. Her thoughts were: "I think I can fly, but I just do not seem to be able to start". She had read everything about flying and she had even jumped up in the air to try out her little wings. But now when it was time to take the leap, she felt uncertain and was questioning herself. She felt scared. This metaphor of the little bird turned out to be a wall that she was unable to climb. This wall was made out of her fear to be seen and a fear that if she was to put herself out there she would be judged. We were able to reveal this wall and find a way to go pass it!
She is flying now. In her own words, after our session she felt at ease and confident to take the first step. Actually she said "I can't believe it, but I feel I can't wait to get off the phone to get started!" She now knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
